I came here for my birthday with a friend to try their vegan tasting menu. First I want to say how grateful I am that this is an option provided, not many places offer vegan tasting menus. Luckily my friend was able to enjoy the omnivore tasting menu, another thing I am grateful for- that we were not forced to be served the same one. I missed a picture of the first course with pickled vegetables, & I took the picture of my salad course a bit too late. We added the wine pairing & vegan cheese course- another thing that I was so grateful for & our favorite course! My friend is not vegan but we both loved the cashew cheese, it was delicious. The dessert was my second favorite. I ate the entirety of my courses & appreciated the seasonality. I’m mainly happy with the experience overall more tha

Second time at Forage for the tasting menus. The two starter/appetizers are very creative, especially the peach one. Each ingredient is flavorful and balanced well together. The main was not that surprising but worth it. It was in large portion and very fulfilling. We don’t quite enjoy the optional cheese , I would advise to skip it. The dessert is lovely, though the cake is bit similar to the first course. Overall, the tasting menu is worth the price. The atmosphere is also very comforting, perfect for intimate dining.

Forage may technically sit just outside Boston in the Cambridge suburbs, but it feels like its own quiet world—one rooted in intention, craftsmanship, and deep respect for ingredients. This is organic, seasonal cooking done beautifully well. The menu is creative and unique, drawing from New England’s small farmers and even the chefs’ own vegetable garden. Every dish feels thoughtful, alive, and grounded in place. The standout surprise? A vegan charcuterie board so rich, layered, and satisfying it’s almost unbelievable that it’s entirely plant-based. Even devoted carnivores would be impressed. And the halibut cheeks—absolutely unforgettable. Tender and luxurious, they tasted remarkably like lobster, especially paired with sweet potatoes and a medley of distinctive, seasonal vegetables tha

Came here for one of their prefix wine dinners as a celebration. It was four courses paired with four types of wine, when ch is very reasonable with today's prices. The food felt like farm to table. We could just taste the freshness of the ingredients. The chef melded many different flavors together very well and each dish was distinct. We definitely walked away with full bellies and had many flavorful wines we otherwise would not have had the chance to try. Would recommend!

Forage is a small farm-to-table spot tucked under an old Cambridge building and it’s genuinely unique. We started with house pickles and ferments like spruce tips, celery leaves, baby green tomatoes, and kimchi. We did the pescavore and vegetarian tastings: standouts were the toasted hazelnut-pear salad, Brussels sprouts with maple, orange zest, Camembert and walnuts, salmon with smoked-trout cornbread, and a comforting oat-groat risotto. Dessert was a blonde with kumquat and macerated cranberries. Our server, Ash, was generous and knowledgeable, poured smart wine tastes, and even let us try savory and sweet hemlock pods. Thoughtful and delicious food, lovely people, and a reservation we were surprised to snag.
