If you’re looking for a chicken spot that actually puts effort into its takeout, Fore Feathers is it. I grabbed dinner here last night, and it’s easily moving into my weekly rotation. The Food The star of the show is the crunch. Usually, by the time I get home, fried chicken has started to "sweat" in the container and loses its texture. Not here. The breading was incredibly crispy and held up perfectly during the 15-minute drive. * Seasoning: They aren’t shy with the spices. It’s flavorful without being overly salty. * Sides: The mac and cheese was creamy (not grainy), and the slaw had a nice vinegar tang that cut through the richness of the chicken. * The Chicken: Juicy on the inside, fully cooked, and high-quality meat.
