Forestport Diner

Some of the best donuts I’ve ever had! Even getting there a bit late, the donuts were still fresh, soft and fluffy. Great toppings, the coconut is my fav. We’ll be back to try the filled ones and other menu items. Friendly and helpful staff and regulars. Highly recommend!

In the beautiful adirondack mountain. Can't beat the food .Get there early closes early most days. Friday is a fish fry and open later. Best fish in town. Hands down. Fresh donuts daily. Service is welcoming, friendly and efficient. Thanks for everything.

Knowing that the diner closes at 1 o’clock every day, I tried to call the diner at 12:30, and no one answered the phone. I walked into the diner at 12:40, the two staff members were vacuuming and all the lights were off. I asked if they were still open. The shorter staff member With dark hair, said, curtly “…. I responded “I thought you closed at 1 o’clock“. The same staff member said, unapologetically “The kitchen closes at quarter of one every day“. Mind you, it was not yet quarter of one. There was no other place within walking distance for me to go to get lunch. Either you close at 1 o’clock, or you close at 1245, or you close at 12:40… But, if you close at 1 o’clock, that means if a patron walks in at 12:59… You’re still open and he deserves service. Great food, great service! Everything was better than expected. One year later the food is still out of this world!

Delicious food! Definitely try the blueberry pancakes & pay a little extra for the maple syrup. Our waitress was attentive & super friendly. Great prices, especially when you consider that the cost of practically everything has gone up recently.
