Formosa Bento 寶島便當

This is one of my favorite place to eat in Chino Hills area. Economical, delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Friendly staff and mostly self served without having to give tips which is a big bonus in this economy! (I give a small tip anyways since they have attention to details such as giving you different side dishes instead of the same when you buy more than one entrée.) For someone who doesn't get to eat vegetables that often, this place is a lifesaver! Keep up the good work guys/girls!

Went for lunch with my wife after Costco activities, it's 2 minutes drive from Costco Chino Hills, right next to Green Banana Leaf. I ordered Taiwanese Fried Pork Chop Bento $14.5, the fried pork chop was crispy outside, juicy inside, very yummy! My wife ordered Homestyle Braised Chicken Leg Bento $14, it tasted good but I'd highly recommend Taiwanese Fried Pork Chop Bento. Both bentos came with plenty veggies. Owner was friendly, he came out to chat with customers and asked for feedbacks.

It's self-serve, so no tipping needed They mainly serve authentic Taiwanese railway bentos, cooked by real Taiwanese chefs. We tried the sweet & sour chicken, crispy chicken leg, salmon, shrimp - all crunchy, flavorful, and super generous in portion! food is so authentic and tastes amazing, they also have different side dishes everyday. the staff are so kind and helpful too:) their pork chop bento tastes exactly like how it tastes in taiwan, its best to add their white pepper salt onto the pork chop, itll taste even better. their winter melon tea is also the best, it's not too sweet, matches really well with the bento. 100/10 my friends and i keep coming back!

Ordered the bento with Taiwanese sausage, salmon, braised beef shank, and popcorn chicken — everything was delicious! The flavors were rich but not greasy, and the side dishes were fresh and nicely balanced. A very satisfying and well-packed lunch box. Definitely coming back!
