Fortina Stamford is always a win 🍕✨ The pizza was incredible — perfectly crisp crust with creamy burrata and rich truffle flavor. The salad was fresh and flavorful, and the cocktails were refreshing and well-balanced. Great food, great vibes, and one of my favorite spots in Stamford for a fun night out.
Decided to come here after a haircut appointment. Haven't really come on this side of town much lately so maybe my last visit was 3 years ago. The taste and quality was much better then. I'm more of an antipasti person (to maximize my protein) over a full meal, and the quality was noticeably different. I didn't even take food home which, for me, never happens. I ate until I was satiated because it is on the expensive side for what you are getting but I would not come here again.
This was a disgrace to all Italian restaurants. Worst pasta I’ve ever had: way too salty and slightly too hard. The chicken parm was subpar at best. The lemon bucatini was definitely better than the pasta served with the chicken parm but still far too salty. For appetizers we had squash and garlic bread, both of which seemed like they were tossed onto a plate in 30 seconds. The garlic bread was a plain loaf with cheese on top served with marinara sauce: extremely underwhelming for how much it costs. I would not recommend this to anyone in any circumstance.
They would know I go 4 times a week, but the food is super tasty and fairly priced for the area. SUPER FAST and great service, everyone is super nice and attentive. You can have your food 15 minutes after walking in the door. The vibe is sick and no rats like at sign of the whale. Super clean. I also happen to be gluten free and they have gluten free versions of ALL pastas and pizzas as well as other items on the menu.
The pizza was fantastic and my wife’s chicken Parm was great as well. BUT…… I have to take away points for the short rib pasta. My short rib was so dry and tough that I had to dump a pound of Parmesan cheese on each bite. For a 30 dollar plate where the short rib is the star of the show, I was extremely disappointed. Cookie cutter beef cubes which didn’t appear to be slow cooked/braised or even seasoned. Bread pudding was great and helped me recover.
