This is definitely one of my favorite Italian place in Boston. Went there for dinner with friends on a Saturday. We booked our table a few days ahead but it was easy to find one. Our waitress was super friendly and helped us pick our order. She recommended two to three plates per person. We ended up getting two per person which was okay but could have gotten more. We shared the house made ricotta, focaccia, insalata di indivia, spagetti con gonvole and tagliatelle bolognese. Everything we had was amazing and top notch. If I had to pick favorites I would pick the focaccia and spagetti con gonvole.

We had such an incredible experience at Fox & the Knife. The food was outstanding—so well seasoned, so flavorful, and nothing felt fussy or overworked. We sat at the chef’s counter and the service was phenomenal from start to finish. My husband ordered a habanero mocktail that he loved, and I had the Winter Fizz, which had this perfect tart pop from the pomegranate. The focaccia came out savory, salty, and wonderfully crispy. The endive salad honestly surprised me—in the best way. You taste everything: the richness of their amazing olive oil, crunch from the nuts and herbs, the little bitter snap from the greens, and this smooth, creamy yogurt tying it all together. The bucatini was spot-on with just the right amount of warm pepper and perfect chew. The pork Milanese was cooked beautiful

Came here in the spring so don't remember it perfectly but had a very good time. The food was all flavourful and well seasoned. The pasta was also great. The broccoli caesar and the ravioli carbonara were two of my favories. And both were more interesting takes on classic dishes with robust flavour. The chicken escarole was also one of my favorite chicken dishes. Extremely well cooked! Service was great as well. Lived up to the hype and well worth trying! Looking forward to returning to try other parts of the menu.

I first came to Fox & Knife when they first opened and had a pretty bad experience. That made me stay clear for years but now felt right to give it another try after the Michelin buzz. While much better than my first time, nowhere near incredible as I thought it was going to be. Service deserves 6*, impeccable from start to finish. That was something I had zero complaints about. The food on the other hand was just really inconsistent. 1 or 2 incredible dishes, several middling ones, and one downright bad. The focaccia is an absolute must order, clear standout. Meanwhile all the entrees were whatever. The raviolo is offensively priced, ~25 for a SINGLE raviolo with not enough guanciale on it… please be for real. Dessert was also fine. I enjoyed the panna cotta but again, nothing remarkab

Fantastic experience! The food was easy 5 stars. Highlights of the menu were the cheese-stuffed focaccia and the chicken. Great cocktail and wine list, too. Super friendly service. Sitting at the kitchen bar is fun, but beware that the lights are super bright there.
