Had a great Friday evening at Frida during their happy hour which has amazing deals. Our server, Emma, was phenomenal and took great care of us despite having a lot of tables. She did an amazing job. The shrimp taco, guac, and esquites are superb.
I always love to discover new gems around. We had dinner, we had the sampler, margaritas and chicken bowl. Everything was delicious!!! Our server was welcoming and friendly. The cool plus in this place is the unique decoration and design, it is really cool, I love it!!!
We could tell that the group that runs this spot has it's act together and we're interested to try their other restaurants. The food was delicious and priced reasonably for what you get. We ordered too many things but that's how we do at places that interest us. Brussel Spouts and peanuts - who knew? Their queso is more like queso fundido rather than cheesy sauce. There wasn't a lot of it, which was probably a good thing haha. The person who sat us - management we thought, was great. Our server was young, confidently direct and must have had tables in another part of the restaurant because she always seemed to be in a hurry to be somewhere else - even though the restaurantt wasn't at all busy. She also didn't care to keep our table neat, which is a turnoff. More is a hard sell if
We came for early dinner om Friday night. No reservations required. But if you have more than 3-4 persons, it's better to have reservations. The food is overall okay. Not that tasty in my opinion. I don't think i will come back. Tried it once and it's enough. Our server was too busy with other tables. The music was too loud and didn't go with the restaurant theme.
Fridas might have the best chips and queso in Cincinnati. The al pastor taco was packed with flavor and had the perfect amount of spice. I would absolutely recommend trying one. The margaritas were also well balanced. We really enjoyed the food and would try it again.
