Friendly's

Good ice cream. The food quality absolutely has been nose diving since the corporation bought this place like 15 years ago. 10? Whenever. I’m still bitter about it. Ice cream is now labeled “frozen dessert” at supermarkets even because they no longer qualify as ice cream. So… don’t come for quality food. Or quality “frozen desserts” I guess. But that said, the ice cream is still nostalgic and I like to pop in every once in a while. It’s still nostalgic and nice even if I definitely notice the quality dip. That’s on the corporation, not this restaurant. The restaurant is still a lovely place and has good workers and that’s what I’m rating here. They make great sundaes.

Disappointing when I was a kid friendlys was this magical place. Its went down hill no wonder why almost all of them are closed. First of all the waitress was very old, and couldn't remember half of the order. Never got a drink refill my daughter asked for hers several times. I had hair in my food. I asked for ice creams to go they made them for there as well as wrong ice cream flavors. Everytime we go there the food is not the best. It's crazy when your 14 year old says I will never go again. There were only about four families there on a Wednesday night. Also it smelled like raw sewage.

Got complementary food poisoning here last year with the mediocre food. Tonight tried getting ice cream to go and it took a while, they made it incorrectly after clarifying, and then “fixed it” by failing to actually fully remove an additional unsolicited topping. If they don’t care about cross contamination for ice cream, it makes total sense how I got food poisoning here before. Avoid it, nostalgia isn’t worth it. Buy their ice cream in a supermarket if you want it, it’s cheaper.

My Waitress was Kaitlyn V, and let me tell you, she is the sweetest person ever. I came in alone after skateboarding in the heat, and she checked in on me to make sure I was ok and make sure that everything was good. And the food was amazing. And the ice cream, is of course delicious. I would give way more than 5 stars if I could.
