Fuel Healthy Kitchen (South Philly)

This is my first time visiting this restaurant. I often passed by the one in Center City Philadelphia. We were looking for something nearby and healthy and found this place in South Philadelphia, amidst the passyunk corridor. I love it here, there are plenty of great restaurants, cafes, and retail shops. When I write reviews, I always strive to be fair. My intention is never to harm a business, only to acknowledge the hard work that goes into it. When we walked in, it had a bit of a pizza shop smell and there was seasonal holiday music playing in the background - a bit fuzzy, probably from the radio. LOVE this Passyunk avenue spot. I’m there basically every day and it never misses. The food’s always fresh, quick, and leaves you feeling healthy + the vibe is upbeat and welcoming. Personal favorites are the Sweet Pea dip (very addictive), Green Machine smoothie (GO BIRDS 🦅 andddd it tastes amazing ) and the Grilled Cheese with spinach dip & chicken. Rocco and his staff are great and make you feel like part of the neighborhood. 10/10!

A staple in Philly for great deal and great eats. Asian Bowl is so filling and the nachos are a secret weapon! Always fresh and delicious

None of their salads or bowls seem to come with protein so you have to pay extra for it. My salad with tofu came out to a little over $17 which feels super overpriced for just veggies and tofu (and tbh if you are going to charge extra for protein I think they should have put a bit more, it felt skimpy on the tofu). The food itself was pretty yummy and I would eat it again, but not when I can go to other fast casual restaurants and get a similar salad for several dollars less.

Superfast delivery through Grubhub, actually early but that is where the good news ends. Ordered the Spicy Tofu Thai Crunch & Jerk Mushroom PitaDia. Food was very cold as if it had been prepared already and just sent out. Not much to the sandwiches, the Tofu did have tofu but the Mushroom had a very small amount . Very disappointing and expensive. I was hoping it would be a spot for me as a vegetarian and I newly moved to South Philly. UPDATE: Owner reached out, extended and offer to come in and give it another try. Did so today and the food was excellent as was Roccos service. Mistakes happen to and by us all, but when given opportunity to make correction, what will one do? He corrected it and I will be back and bring friends.(changing rating as well)
