Gadsden County Public Library

Rude employees not childfriendly. Dont brint your kids there to read or pick books. Takes the fun right out of letting them. Pick there books theydont let kids touch books at all in there. They are Irresponsible and make rules as they go. Randomized books. Not. Easy to locate books. They dont have a great selection of options. That are worth reading probably the worst library I been to in my whole life.

Changing from a 1-star review to a 5-star as they either no longer have the time limitation rule or are no longer enforcing it. Kudos to Gadsden Library system and Tabitha Washington, Gadsden County Library Director A library, especially a public library should not have a limit on how long you are allowed to be in the building. A library should be open and inviting. All citizens should be allowed to remain there as long as they are open. It can be educational, fun, safe, and a dry, warm environment. All citizens can benefit from this. Homeless people especially. It is sad that a retail bookstore does not have a limit to your stay, but a PUBLIC, taxpayer institution does.

Walked to the library after leaving my car keys and other items in my car from next door, I explained to the librarian guy I left my items in the car, I only had mail in my hand with my name and address on it, and could I get on the computer so I can look up my insurance company to unlock my car. He said no I need a picture Id, the other librarians heard him but no one seem to care. I feel there should be other ways to identify yourself. I know this was a personal problem but a little compassion would of help.

We are staying in the area for a bit. The kids and I went to check out some books. They are very limited on items. Several of the books I was looking for, they did not have. But, I'm thankful for the options they do and the staff was friendly.

Great place! They have a computer lab available at no cost! Had to help a friend with some real estate paperwork and this library branch was super helpful. Also, a printer is available at 10 cents per page.
