General Rufus Putnam House

This well-kept Bed and Breakfast is a treasure. The owners have not spared any effort in creating an atmosphere in keeping with the historic period of the home. They constantly tidy up during the stay, so that nothing is out of place. (This is done without interfering with the guests' stay.) With a lot of treasures sitting around, it might be best to leave the children at home. A cooked-to-order breakfast is requested the night before. The owners' artistic background lends much toward the quality of the stay.

We enjoyed the Putnam House having Mr. Urban as an informative guide. This docent was knowledgeable and very resourceful when asked questions. He had many insights on the life in that time era. Babette was very courteous and cordial as a receptionist. We enjoyed every minute of out tour of the Campus Martius today. We also thought that the Ohio River Museum was a great way to learn about paddle wheelers and steamboats...great models and fascinating memorabilia and photos......Both places were GREAT!||

Your constant attention to detail is not a disappointment. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is a history buff and to those who just need a beautiful quiet place to be.
