Genovese's Italian Café

Our second visit experience. The atmosphere is dimly lifood is great! The wait for food can be a bit long if you're dining during a busy festive season such as Bike Week. My husband and I waited over 45 minutes after being seated before our medium pizza and strombolli arrived. As mentioned there was a wait to be seated due to the time of arrival. However, once seated it appeared obvious that other tables were being served multiple pizzas and strombolis as we waited. The delay was acknowledged and corrected,, the waitresses were very apologetic for our wait. The owner ultimately provided the pizza 'on the house', they honored my military service with a veteran discount and my pizza was absolutely fire! We tipped a grateful amount and departed VERY pleased. We will DEFINITELY return! Thanks

A local favorite for over 40 years — and today reminded me why. I had lunch at the Ormond location and it delivered. The best spaghetti and meatballs I’ve ever had. Period. The pizza and pasta are top-tier, the specials run all week, and the cozy dining room plus great service (hi, Cat!) seal the deal.

Was not expecting what we got. Walking in, the smell was amazing, restaurant clean and very busy but service was still top notch, didn't wait long for food and EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING. Margherita pizza, cheesy garlic bread, meatballs, spaghetti, chicken Alfredo, penne bake, and calzone. We had an amazing meal and the cannoli was OMG. this is the kind of meal I expected of of an Italian restaurant I visited on the other side of the island a few weeks ago, but this place beat everything I've had since living in NJ. Great job guys.

Treat yourself to the best Italian place in the area. Yes it’s small but don’t let it fool you. Most likely it will be a challenge for you to get in and wait on amazing pizza but it is worth it. My personal favorite… everything!!! Never had a bad meal or service. They are all a great team that will take care of you like you are their family. Honestly minestrone was great!!! Had this homemade feel to it hearty. Yum! Spaghetti and meatballs yes but what shocked me to the core is marinara sauce. Straight outta heaven!!! Then I tried crab Alfredo pasta this is the best combo!! And since I loved the bread I can only imagine the taste of pizza. Will try it next time for sure!!! Do yourself a favor and try it!

Huuuge meatballs, good lasagna, great bread! My husband loved his Cafe pizza. Very nice people. The hostess was very nice as was the -he was either a cook or busboy. I encountered him while I was waiting to use the ladies restroom. He told me to go ahead into the gents as I had been waiting quite awhile. All around a great experience.
