George Washington Inn

We had an absolutely delightful stay at the George Washington Inn and Estates. Janet and Dan were gracious hosts. The rooms were impeccably clean, with luxurious towels, linens, and pillows. The shower had great pressure and the huge jacuzzi tub was a special treat. Breakfasts were filling and the chocolate chip cookies were always appreciated. The view to the ocean is spectacular. We saw two bald eagles flying by and the sunset was spectacular. I would highly recommend.

What a wonderful experience. Pulling into the driveway, the property is beautiful. Greeted at the door by Janet, who was warm and friendly. We were shown around the Inn and made to feel at home. Our suite was on the second floor. Large bedroom, bath and kitchen dining area. With outstanding views of the grounds and Salish Sea. Spent the evening on the veranda watching the sunset. Breakfast was 4 stars. Loved the Apple Sauce Soup and overnight French Toast. |Owners, Dan and Janet gave us a wonderful experience we will not soon forget.

This was our second - of many, we hope - stay at this gracious inn. Janet and Dan and their superb crew (Hi, Pauline!) not only keep the GW inn in immaculate shape but also make each guest feel like an appreciated friend. |The grounds are gorgeous, the view something to watch for hours. We have stayed in both the General’s and the Presidential suite and love them for their space, comfort and, again, views. |This time we traveled with friends who don’t do stairs, and they were more than happy in the large and comfy downstairs suite. |It’s got a secluded and very private feeling but the inn is close to all sorts of activities on the Olympic Peninsula. It’s easy to see why it’s been named the top B&B for the last 10 years running.

We stayed in February, and it was a wonderful time to visit, as we expected the weather to be cool and rainy, which was perfect for us, as we just wanted to stay in and enjoy the beautiful setting of this bed and breakfast! It was very peaceful, and with the beautiful view from our window and the wonderful, luxurious accommodations, we didn’t want to leave our room! We felt like we had stepped back in time with the beautiful décor both inside and outside, and all the unique and special touches made our stay so perfect! The breakfasts were also very delicious, and the hosts were very caring and accommodating to our every need. We highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast!

We had a great time staying here for a mini honeymoon, even in the off season. The Inn was beautifully decorated and very peaceful, even in late fall the grounds smell amazingly of lavender, and the homemade breakfasts were delicious. Check in and communication was very easy. I was really impressed with how much effort Janet put into our purchased snack basket and trying to fit our dietary needs. It's a short drive from everywhere you could need. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway near incredible views.
