Georgetown Neighborhood Library

The Georgetown Public Library, like much of Georgetown, evokes a time gone by. It's got one foot in 2026...and the other in 1926. And it's doing it well. It's a quiet retreat just a few steps away from Wisconsin Avenue. The southern view into Virginia are awesome. It's quiet inside just as it should be. I liked the wood paneling and the off white walls. I recommend this place. This sanctuary.

Needed to get my kiddo a Washington, DC library card. Mapped out the closest library to our NOVA home. The Georgetown Neighborhood Library came up, and boy is it awesome! The building is gorgeous and is perfectly landscaped. The inside is just as amazing. There are three levels of books, as well as a few private rooms that can be used with prior authorization. With my kid attending Washington, DC school, he can print up to 20 copies a day. The staff were professional, knowledgeable and helpful.

This is a fantastic library. I was a regular here for three months straight, and it quickly became one of my favorite places. The staff are very helpful and always greeted me with a smile. I loved the small talks they’d have with me. It made the place feel warm and welcoming. The library has a fantastic collection of books. I discovered some new authors as well, thanks to the way the books are arranged. Also, borrowing books was very easy. I was able to get a library card within minutes. They also host “Coffee and Conversations” once a week, which is a great community touch. Whenever I needed a quiet space for meetings, I could reserve a study room on short notice, and conference rooms were available with just a bit of advance booking. The building itself is beautiful. I made my way over to this library for the first time today. I had been at other branches, and I've spent the most time at the central location downtown. This branch is much smaller, and I think that it's a little nicer in terms of the ambiance. They have the same old hard chairs and tables, but this branch is much more subdued and quieter, which made it better for me to work. The WiFi here is free and really fast which was also important for me. The only difference between this branch and the downtown location, is that they close at 8pm instead of 9pm. You definitely cannot beat the Georfetown neighborhood here.

Great place and has printers as well as free Wi-Fi a lot of computers to use for free I use selections of books there are couple of levels each level has its own genre of books categories are divided by kids young adults and adults you can just walk in and browse around and Shirley fast enough you'll find a book you can read for fun even if it's just for 10 or 15 minutes. pretty quite but no one gets angry if you make some noise. mostly older adults nearing their 50's and college kids.
