Georgie's Diner

Growing up Northern New Jersey I've been to a couple diners. Anybody who knows Northern New Jersey knows that's a significant understatement. Georgie's Diner would stand out. Avgolemono soup was scrumptious. I decided to have a lighter but I would shrimp Caesar salad. Perfect dressing perfectly cooked shrimp. Others in our party have open hot turkey sandwich as well as the Grape Leaves. All excellent.

So close to 5 stars. Its hard to rate a place based on breakfast. It was a great breakfast. I had the smoked salmon Benedict. My wife loved her breakfast plater of eggs and corn beef hash. French toast was very tender. This is a great spot for breakfast.

The food took a bit to get to the table and I will attribute that to the fact that they were jam packed. The food was hot and had great flavor. They have the largest tater tots I have ever seen. Its not a " cheap" meal but there is a lot of food for the price you pay. There is parking out back.

Everything about my visit was excellent, earning a top rating. From the moment I stepped in, the classic diner setting provided the perfect, authentic atmosphere. I highly recommend the pork roll and egg. It was prepared flawlessly. Although I arrived close to lunchtime (around 11:50 a.m.) and took a seat at the counter, the quick service and view were ideal. A special shout-out to the biscuit—it was truly outstanding and a highlight of the meal

A must have if you’re in St. Augustine!! Their muffins are incredible, the service is extraordinary, and everything we’ve had on the menu was exceptional. A great traditional American Diner, great variety of food and very affordable. Cannot recommend this place enough for Breakfast or Lunch!
