Gigi Halal Food

I’m not sure if I went on an off day, but I was extremely disappointed. The food looked amazing, but it ended up being some of the blandest halal and food I’ve ever had. I ordered two platters—chicken over rice and lamb over rice—and it was honestly a struggle to finish them. The chicken was overly salty, while the rest had no real seasoning or flavor at all. With all the great reviews, I expected much better and was genuinely surprised by how underwhelming it was.

Delicious and affordable halal food! The chicken over rice was flavorful and the portions were generous. Friendly service and quick too—definitely a great spot for a quick bite!

OMG! Amazing flavor! I’m a huge Halal Chicken over rice fan and although my go to is Gyro King in Bloomfield- Gigi’s in Hoboken can join that caliber of flavor and freshness. It’s delicious!!!!

I really like the flavors of this food. I’m a person who enjoys ethnic food. The portion size is decent, but they give you a lot of rice. More chicken would be nice. I can’t figure out the pricing yet. They seem to charge you tax and a fee for using a card. I also want to add that I’ve had this dish before and the rice was yellowish. Today the rice was like white jasmine rice. The owner is a nice guy.

New truck on the Columbus Dr block. Reasonably priced $10 chicken over rice. Has some unique options you dont usually see like spicy rice and bbq sauce
