Gilbert's 17th Street Grill

The Stuffed Bleu Cheese Burger was perhaps the best bleu cheese burger I have had. I added bleu cheese dressing in place of any mayo or other condoments. It was out of this world delicious. The onion rings were very good also. I really enjpyed their Unsweetened hibiscus berry tea and the service provided by both Stanley and Monica were both first rate. Friendly, helpful, energetic. I could not have asked for anything more. Oh and the Coleslaw is a must have. Tonight i returned and tried both the Mahi Mahi and the Havarti Burger. The Havarti Burger was really good, but if I had to pick a favorite burger, so far it would be the Bacon and bleu cheese. The onion rings were really good again and I am not much on sweet potato fries, but they were actually pretty good. As for the Mahi

Great people making great food. We went for my wife's birthday. She loves hamburgers. Gilbert's hamburgers were thick, flavorful and cooked perfectly to order. We loved the grilled wings with their homemade ranch. We also had, plain and sweet potato fries, coleslaw, everything perfect. We celibrated over Gilbert's Carmel brownie cheesecake. Honestly, we showed up late and they still served us with kindness. The owner actually helped walk us through the menu, telling us great info about what makes their food so good. Don't miss this place is you're looking for some great food and people in Ft. Lauderdale.

All the great reviews here are correct! We walked in and Richard took our order and helped answer our questions. He was very nice! Then we took a seat and shortly our order came out. The waitstaff were all very attentive and friendly and they actually seemed genuinely happy to be there. It was refreshing! And our burgers and fries were fresh, perfectly cooked and delicious! We were staying at the Embassy Suites just around the corner and wished we had discovered this place earlier in our trip! Would go back to this place in a heartbeat!

Super friendly and super helpful… from the moment you walk in Wellington helped us with our order, brought us clean utensils, condiments and anything we needed. That man deserved a raise!! Great employee!! They serve super delicious, tasty fresh burgers!! Owner is very friendly and service is outstanding.

Food was excellent, staff was extremely personable. We stopped in for lunch while traveling not sure what to expect and we found another hidden gem. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food was great and the owner really took the time to know the customers. Has a friendly, homestyle Cafe like atmosphere.
