Gilligan's Seafood Restaurant- At the Dock

This restaurant didn't look like much from the outside, but CERTAINLY told a MUCH DIFFERENT story once inside & indulging on their delicious 😋 seafood 🦞🦐🦈The Shrimp & Grits were delicious & my palate was very excited and satisfied the entire time I was eating them! The appetizer of Fried Green Tomatoes was a perfect choice with the remoulade. I will DEFINITELY visit again when I'm in the are! We were visiting from Greenville, SC for my nephew's dedication service at Freedom Church in Monks Corner. My sister, who lives in N. Charleston, suggested Gilligan's to celebrate my mother's upcoming 84th birthday, which was actually the following day because she loves loves seafood!!! EVERYONE in our party REALLY enjoyed their food!! They offered my mother a complimentary slice of Key Lime or Peanut

The food was delicious and our server and who appeared to be the manager were super friendly and welcoming. My husband and I will definitely be going back.

First-time visitor but not a last time visitor. The restaurant is awesome and the people are so kind and inviting. It was busy and a little bit of a wait but I think that's a good sign at a restaurant. Inside was really nice and clean but we sat outside to watch the boats on the water and it was a perfect atmosphere. They bring complimentary hush puppies that are excellent. I got the fresh catfish and shrimp with fries and slaw. My husband got the founder and shrimp, and our son got the fried shrimp basket as well. The food was excellent!!! Great people and great service, and I can't wait to go back. By the way, get the cheese sticks, too.

Had lunch here after visiting Mepkin Abbey. Server, Marli, was so friendly and helpful. Didn't have any trouble getting seated.

There should be no reason for this restaurant receiving less than 5 stars. They go above and beyond expectations. They are quick to to make corrections. A superb end to our meal was the made in house key lime pie. We love coming here, so peaceful enjoying the water.
