Go Go Curry Express Queens

I am struggling to comprehend the significant decline in quality. On my second attempt, I experienced an immediate and forceful expulsion of stomach contents. My initial experience with this brand, at the West Village location, was highly satisfactory, and I was quite enthusiastic about this new establishment. However, both subsequent visits have resulted in considerable discomfort. I am at a loss to understand the rationale behind the approval of this particular location, as it severely misrepresents the brand's previously commendable standards. I genuinely question how any individual could find this level of quality acceptable.

This place is definitely sketchy at first and doesn't get much better until you leave with your food to be honest. But that's okay. Go Go Curry is a recognized brand worldwide so we had no issue coming here despite the unassuming exterior and few reviews on Google and Yelp. When you get to the location that Maps takes you, it is a four story building with other companies occupying the bottom three floors. You need to follow the signs and take the stairs to the fourth floor, where you'll find a closed white door with a phone number to call. Once you call that number, someone from Go Go Curry will open the door and allow you to pick up your order or place one. When we went, we did not place an order ahead of time. This is an express go go curry so please order ahead before you go to save time. When you get there, you will see the metal door and you have to call them to get the code to go into the lock door. After you past the lock door, turn right walk straight and go up the stairs. The guy is nice enough to come meet us around 3rd fl so we don't have to walk up so far. Picture attached for your reference. I am giving this a 4* because of the rice texture and curry not in separated container. As a suggestion, please separate the curry from the rice might help the rice from being too soft due to condensation. The curry and cutlet is on par with the go go curry that we ate previously. We love it.

This is a takeout place inside a old walk up office building, you need to call them at the door so they will buzz you in, no call, they won't answer even you are at the 4th floor door plus poor reception. Basically I pay $30 for full meal that have 1 piece of skinny shrimp tempura, 1 hot dog saucesage and a chicken katsu with salty curry over rice. Not something you will want to go back for it. Any neighborhood japanese restaurant can do better, my personal opinion.

I know, the outside looks sketchy as hell with the scaffolding, but trust me, the Curry Chicken Katsu is delicious! Take out & Delivery only, since it's an "Express" location with no seating.
