Godeke Branch Library

It is a great library. They often have crafts for adults. Check the website for activities that are available to attend. My kids love the story time and I enjoy doing the adult craft nights.

I took my 3 young granddaughters to get some more reading material. The librarian who assisted us, was very helpful, they all found books they were interested in very quickly!! I also updated my contact info, only took a couple minutes. This branch is very clean, neat and has extra interest materials, as in plants and info on seeds etc, reading programs, and my granddaughters 7, 8, and 10, really enjoyed the children's shopping carts!!

My favorite library in Lubbock. The staff are extremely polite in helping you find materials. The place is spacious, tidy. Was recently there on a Friday afternoon and there were about 15 other patrons there - reading and working on their laptops. Highly recommended over the other public libraries.

nice library but people are always talking super loud in here. teaching your kids not to whisper in a library is so annoying. i shouldn’t be able to hear you teaching your kid about the holocaust from the other side of the library, and it’s sad that the librarians do nothing about it at all and just let people be loud.

We enjoy visiting all the LBB branches, but especially love our friends at Godeke. They always have a great mix of books and media circulating through, with regular events for kids and the community at large. It is managed by a friendly staff that makes it feel like home. Pay them a visit if you haven't already!
