Godfrey's

This is one of my favorite places to grab breakfast and lunch! The coffee is always a great roast. I especially love the banana foster French toast. All the pastries are amazing too. The atmosphere is so relaxed. There’s a regular coffee shop feel on the first floor near the entrance, an outdoor area for when it’s warm, and a reserved seating area on the second floor. The service and staff are fantastic. Just a heads-up, the staff seem to change often, so you might not see your favorite people all year round.

Friendly staff and delicious food. The Thanksgiving sandwich was delicious. Service was slow, but they noticed and gave us a free slice of cheesecake that was delicious. Free parking lot but had to circle on a Sunday afternoon.

Three out of 4 dishes were delicious and well-balanced. Pork Chimichurrri was salty and oily. Service was slow in the beginning. No attendant really proactivelyshowing our table. But once we ordered, the food came fast. For the prices we paid, restaurant has big potential to be improved.

Godfrey’s in Falls Church is a beautiful hotel venue with a relaxed open-air patio, and Friday nights here are simply special. The live jazz band brings a timeless 1940s-50s charm — smooth, soulful, and wonderfully atmospheric. The ambiance is elegant yet easygoing, with soft lighting, warm hospitality, and a well-curated crowd that appreciates good music and good energy. It’s the perfect way to unwind on a Friday evening — listening to classic jazz under the night sky with great company. If you’re looking for a classy, comfortable place to enjoy live music, Godfrey’s is a hidden gem in Falls Church. Spacious cafe, high ceiling, big windows with variety of seating, tables for 2-8, sofas, quiet area upstairs. Very busy on a Sunday evening 5pm. I had a cortado and a kouign Amann pastry, my perfect combo. Service was quick, place is well staffed. A few patrons were working on laptops, mostly folks were socializing and enjoying the relaxed warm atmosphere. It is dimly lit in the evening.There is a parking lot behind the cafe/hotel.
