Golden Taipei Chinese Restaurant

I've heard bad things about this place but honestly I'm glad I gave them a chance. Their fried dumplings are so good and their fried rice is pretty good too.

This is the definition of mid. Sesame chicken was crispy, but small and a smaller portion. Coke tasted weird, and the won ton soup tasted like it either came out of a can or was weeks old. Water was nice? To be fair, it's probably between $1 scoop and a better place, but for what it was not that bad. But also the fact I was literally the only one here is NOT surprising

Super nice lady waited on us. I asked for a suggestion on a Vegetarian meal, and she suggested a Broccoli & Garlic sauce meal. VERY tasty, I just loved it. The wife had Sweet & Sour Pork and enjoyed hers as well. Portion sizes were the smallest I've ever had in a Chinese Restaurant. I was very surprised. Normally we've always taken home at least another full meal for both of us afterwards. But I completely finished my meal and my wife had a small portion to take home. Quality is there. Very good, but for the price? Rice is ultra cheap! Why such a small portion? The main dish, gawd GOOD, but so small? The plates were 3/4ths smaller than I've ever eaten in a Chinese Restaurant. Yes, I would go back, just lower my quantity expectations.

Takeout cost $75 for 3 adults and 3 kids. Small portions and food was disgusting. None of us could finish our plates. Kids said it smelled terrible and would only eat the white rice. Food tasted like it was leftovers from 3 days ago. Will never go back. Had to throw out most of it. The only thing that tasted halfway normal was the chicken fried rice.

Save your money and go somewhere else. The portion size of the sesame beef was ridiculous. $20 and this is what you get. 👎🏻
