Good Friend Chinese Restaurant

First time to Good Friend for takeout... It seems like your typical Chinese take out place, but there are a few tables so you could eat in which is a nice bonus. Other than the nice lady at the counter could not understand my special request I asked with my order of shrimp with lobster sauce to be mixed with black bean sauce, the two items we ordered (shrimp, chow mei fun) were prepared nicely. I prefer regular shrimp (not the tiny size included) with my chow mei fun so that was a slight disappointment. I am looking forward to return to try the bourbon chicken and some other items on the menu!

I grew up in Brooklyn and treked to Chinatown in the city often. I now live in Herkimer county. I have been STARVED of Chinese food, so you can imagine how thrilled I am to have found Good Friend! Delicious flavors, great choices and not greasy fried foods. I am so happy now!

Broccoli with garlic sauce is my favorite! Tried general tso tofu tonight, we all loved it, was crispy and flavorful. Kids always love the lo mein.

I will preface this with I am a Grubhub driver. The owner falsely accused me of stealing an order I never even delivered. when I came to pick up two orders to be delivered to two different people, the owner started accusing me out of nowhere, which made for a very uncomfortable and upsetting experience. I was able to get it resolved with Grubhub and Grubhub sent them all of the necessary evidence that he was mistaking. Couldn't even apologize after they've received the evidence when I called them regarding the situation. Just hung up on me.

Pictured: Dragon & Phoenix, shrimp fried rice, hot and sour soup, crab rangoons, and fried noodles. Super fresh, Hot and Sour soup is made with FRESH veggies and mushrooms. This is going to be my new go to place. Delicious!
