Good News Coffee Cafe (in the old Heavener Ledger building)

The food and coffee are good and very reasonably priced. People and service are the most excellent and memorable part of this shop. Slightly tucked away, Good News Coffee Cafe may not be the most noticeable for travelers along Hwy 59 but it is a great spot for breakfast and lunch. It just gives you a warm, down home feeling from the moment you open the door.

We Loved this little " hole in the wall" . Very down home atmosphere, with service and food to match . We were lucky to be there when their Meatloaf was the Special of the Day .... it did Not disappoint ! Their historic location and artifacts only added to the occasion.

We love the Good News and have always had good food and great service . The Club Sandwich is very good . The pistachio bread is the first dessert I had there after they first opened and I haven’t tried anything else it’s so good .

Stopped in here on the way back home to st.louis. They had a cute set up with lots of options for drinks and food. We had a chicken sandwich which was fresh and really tasty. And a caramel cappuccino that was good, but verrrry sweet, so if you like yours like that then perfect! Otherwise maybe ask for it to be less sweet. They also do rolled ice cream and other things so check them out!

We stumbled on this place while looking for a different lunch option and were delighted that we stopped there. The grilled chicken salad was really delicious. All the vegetables were fresh and the chicken seasoned and warm. The strawberry vinaigrette topped it all off. Fresh and friendly.
