Had the pleasure of eating here today and I can say they are #1 compared to the local soul food places I've tried. They have a full southern menu. The staff were friendly and made you feel right at home. I got takeout but they have dine in seating. I got the backed chicken dinner with Mac and cheese, greens and cornbread dressing!! It came with 2 cornbread muffins, it was delicious 😋 parking can be a bit tricky due to it's in a strip mall. They also take EBT hot meals program so if you ever in the area stop by at Granny's you won't be disappointed 😉
I’m very disappointed. This is the second time I’ve ordered from this restaurant through Uber Eats and had an issue. The first time, I received someone else’s order. Tonight, I ordered baked chicken, greens, macaroni and cheese, and yams. Instead, the greens were mixed with cabbage as one dish, which I do not eat. The macaroni and cheese was dried out and tasted old, and the baked chicken looked like it had been sitting out for a long time. After two bad experiences, I won’t be ordering again.
This was what I was looking for. Some righteous SOUL FOOD. I had the oxtails over potatoes, no gravy (Fire). The Mac and cheese with the black eye peas. (Omfg) Then the desert peach cobbler and some banana pudding. Oh yeah the yams. Granny kitchen y'all doing that. I will definitely be back
The name is fitting for this place & the food is absolutely flavorful & incredible a review that was long overdue. As soon as you step in there's a welcoming vibe & customer service is also very good. The food seems to transport you back in time & you might just smile as you remember the good memories the food can bring up. In my case, my grandmother who can cook very well but it's not just something I can get anymore. Accepts ebt - hot meal program. They also fry to order. Here I just feel at home with the delicious soul food & the quality is always consistent. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
Absolutely TERRIBLE my chicken was raw!! The lady agreed and said the guy was moving to fast and remade it and then proceeded to say she gave me free chicken EVERYTHING was overly salty and you know it’s bad when you have to call your a list Amex and despite a $30 dollar charge STAY AWAY also noticed a ROACH on the wall PLEASE PLEASE STAY AWAY I feel bad for the founder that she has these people running oh I mean ruining her restaurant….
