Great Wok

I havent ordered Great Wok since 2024 apparently. They were always my favorite in the area when i first moved out here but ive been eating healthier home cooked meals for a long time now. Today i ordered my favorite meal and i had my heart broken. The quality has significantly dropped. The lo mein was the worst. It was soggy to the point of turning to mush between my fingers and it was bland. I feel like its not from today.. The pork fried rice was weird, it felt sloppy compared to before but tasted so good. The beef and broccoli has a slightly different flavor hint from before and is more watery. Like theres a heavy fishy smell even though the recipe calls for oyster sauce its not usually this fishy. Best Chinese I have had in a while. I was visiting NC for a plant visit and just happened to Google Chinese food near me. The Google reviews were right. Food was hot, fresh ingredients, and lots I mean lots of the correct flavors. The lady serving things up was handling multiple call in, dine in and take out orders like multitasking was in here genes. Awesome experience all the way around. The restaurant is decorated nicely, it is VERY clean and the area it is located is safe and nice. Wish I could visit more often, but it is a 5 hour drive from home. It is now in my book of good foods and places to go while traveling.

First time ordering (uber eats) low mein oh man it was so bland no real sauce bordered on dry noodles were soggy and sticky in texture definitely not fresh ( delivery was under 15 minutes and still hot so that wasn’t it ) based on other reviews I’d try a different dish maybe but this low mein sadly went right into the big g can

Food was decent but they charged me for shrimp sauce and didn't give it to me, and they shorted me a side of fried rice. To top it all off this is the only time I have ever ordered chinese takeout and not gotten fortune cookies.... how am I suppose to know what tomorrow will bring?

I’ve been eating from this restaurant when they were located in Concord over 20yrs ago and they moved to Mooresville and every time I am in the area I have to have the sesame chicken. It’s by far the best I’ve ever had and it taste exactly how I remember from 20yrs ago. This place is a must. You’re greeted by the owner and she makes you feel welcome and appreciative for coming. Other restaurants act like you’re a bother or inconveniencing them so if you want great food and a friendly welcome and service come here. I’m stuck on the sesame chicken but I bet the entire menu is fantastic also.
