Green Banana Restaurante Hondureño

We were looking for a new spot to try for date night and had heard good things about Green Banana. It did not disappoint. The food was great, waitress was friendly and the vibe was perfect. A great hole in the wall place.

Excellent food. You get what you pay for, it’s delicious and big portions. We are frequent customers. Desayuno Especial, sopa de marisco, carne y pollo en coco, empanadas de carne, fried chicken with tajadas … this diamond in the rough has won our business several days out of the month! It’s a great change from the mundane restaurants. I have seen All different nationalities come and dine here. There is something for everyone. Excellent atmosphere peaceful and attentive.

Incredible food and Great Service! The supreme baleada is delicious and the carne is so well-seasoned. I recommend coming with family and ordering the ‘Parillada’, it comes with a great selection of meat and is great value.

We ordered take out and it was so delicious! We originally ordered fried tilapia and fried snapper but they were out of snapper. The guy kindly called and let me know they were out and we ended up with 2 fried tilapia meals and it was sooooo good! We ordered kids meals as well for our girls and they ended up eating from our plate's lol. If you want whole fried fish, salad, rice and beans, grab a plate from Green Banana, you won’t be disappointed.

Reminds me of my auntie's food. Definitely an authentic restaurant. I wish I lived closer to this side of Clayton to come more often. The flan was rich, creamy, and not overly sweet. The pastelitos (empanadas) had an even filling to dough ratio, and the dough was light/ airy. The cheese pupusas were so good. Filled with lots of cheese. The baleada was okay. Nothing wrong with it, just enjoyed the other plates way more.
