Grimaldi's Pizzeria

Stumbled across this restaurant traveling from Charleston back home to North Carolina on our Anniversary. It was a Monday around 1pm so not too busy. Staff was kind and our server asked if we had anything special going on and I told her it was our 20th anniversary. She congratulated us and a few minutes later another staff member walked over with a card/coupon. Such a kind gesture! The food was amazing!!!! My husband isn't a big fan of pizza but really enjoyed it and said it was the best pizza he had ever had. I agree! He also ordered a small ceasar salad and it was big enough for us to share. Ordered the oreo cheesecake to go for dessert after our server claimed it was the best she had ever eaten and I 100% agree with her! It was soooooo good. Oh my goodness, this place was outstanding. We started with the bruschetta, and it was wonderful. The tomatoes were so fresh and delicious. We got the "special" pizza they have right now. It was so good. We had the Reese's Cup cheesecake, which is made in-house. Both the pizza and cheesecake are limited-time offers, so do yourself a favor and get some—you won't be disappointed. I want to give a shout-out to our server Matt. He was fantastic. This isn't just a pizza place; it's an experience.

Everything was delicious. The pizza was cooked perfectly and the buffalo mozzarella was so fresh. The “small” sized salad was plenty for two people and not too much dressing, just right. Pictured is the margherita with meatballs. We sat at the outside bar and service was spot on too! Very good value and experience. We’ll be back!

Loved the vibes of the place. It’s just ironic that I am from nyc and I would want pizza at night the first night in Charleston. This was close to our hotel, and open till 9pm. The servers were nice. Amazing strawberry lemonade mocktail. Great Margherita pizza, you could tell it was fresh ingredients. The calzone was huge and passed the cheese pull test but could use some more salt. Pricy but you leave full, so I am giving it a 5. We had kids with us so it wasn’t the quiet romantic type of dinner but this is the place for that.

I first went to Grimaldi’s(Coal-Brick Oven Pizza) in Arizona and it was amazing. This location is nothing less. The pizza is excellent, the toppings are fresh and the flavor in the sauce is unbeatable. I am in town for work and have eaten at this location 2 now, each time it’s been great start to finish. We sat in the bar area both times and the young lady bartender waited on us. She was attentive, knowledgeable and very thorough. I highly recommend stopping in for some of the best pizza! Sit on the bar area with the lady bartender, she takes it over the top.
