Gringos & Mariachis

I had heard many things about this place and have passed it many times on my way to work so I decided to try it one night for dinner. I went on a week night so I didn't have any trouble getting a table. The staff was friendly and my server was accommodating. That being said the service felt a little bit transactional and not so personal. I had managed to make it in time for happy hour so I ordered one appetizer from the happy hour menu and one entree. I was given a small serving of chips and salsa to snack on while I waited for my food to arrive. The salsa was a mild spice and a good thicker consistency which I liked since a lot of places I have tried in the past had salsa that was kind of thin and watery. We went to theatre in Bethesda and Gringos & Mariachis is a restaurant, that I will gladly visit again. The friendly staff, spacious seating areas, the speed of the FRESHLY prepared food, make it a must for a Delicious Mexican fusion meal. The complementary fresh chips and well seasoned salsa, are a nice touch as you peruse the interesting menu. The Duck Nachos were unique and a table favorite. The carry-out business is steady and the Logoed bag is striking. Gringos & Mariachis and Frank our waitstaff, deliver a fantastic dining experience, I can Highly recommend!

If you’re looking for amazing tortilla soup and top-tier margaritas, look no further — Gringos & Mariachis really delivers. The tortilla soup was fresh, flavorful, and comforting, loaded with crispy tortilla strips, creamy toppings, and just the right amount of spice. You can truly taste the freshness in every spoonful. The margaritas were perfectly balanced — refreshing, smooth, and not overly sweet. Definitely the kind of drink you sip and immediately want another. Bonus points for their cute happy hour, which makes it an even better spot to unwind after a long day. Between the fresh food, great drinks, and relaxed vibe, Gringos & Mariachis is a solid go-to for good Mexican-inspired comfort food and cocktails. I’d absolutely come back again 🍹✨

We went for the happy hour and the grapefruit mocktail was really good! The service was AMAZING! I had the daily special: chicken/pork tostada with jalapeños, sour cream, cheese etc and the coffee tres leches for dessert (pricey for $10 & only had a hint of coffee as the aftertaste). The vibes and atmosphere were very lively and chill. Loved it!

Excellent meal, excellent service, fun atmosphere. Came for late lunch and had the salsa sampler (def recommend), poblano queso, veggie nachos, carne asada tacos and tres leches cake. Everything was delicious! Also had a mango marg which was bomb. We will definitely be back 😎. Thank you!
