Gruby's New York Deli

Just what a deli should be. Comfortable place. Great service. Super nice folks. Delicious food. The wife got a NY deli sandwich... so piled high. She loved it. My Reuben was perfect! Onion rings were tasty - half order enough for two people. The breakfast menu looked really good. May have to come back for breakfast before we head home.

I stopped by this New York-style deli and was impressed. The bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich was everything you'd hope for—crispy bacon, perfectly cooked eggs, and melty cheese on a fresh roll. The French toast was just as amazing—golden, fluffy, and with just the right amount of sweetness. Prices were more than fair, especially for the quality of the food. The service was excellent—fast, friendly, and attentive. The owner was incredibly welcoming and made the whole experience feel personal and genuine. If you're looking for a classic, satisfying deli breakfast with a warm neighborhood vibe, this place is a must-visit. Can't wait to come back!

We are from NJ/NY. And missed our NY deli. This place is outstanding. The fantastic deli smell brought us in and the sandwich we got- the large -was huge. The meats were fresh and delicious. Their bread was real rye bread and the pickles were fantastic. My husband and I shared 1 sandwich. It was just like a NJ sloppie Joe. Tomorrow nite we’ll share the other sandwich. We live in Bluffton and will definitely take a ride here every week.

We are part-time Hilton Head residents and have been for many years. My husband and I always make a stop at Gruby’s for lunch within days of coming back to the Island and it has never disappointed. The food is outstanding, the sandwiches are huge, the fries are to die for and the coleslaw and pickles fantastic. The hubby highly recommends the overstuffed sandwiches, they will keep you coming back! All of the employees are so great, I have an invisible disability and have a small service dog, everyone at Gruby’s are so welcoming that I have never felt uncomfortable here, which is amazing. We look forward to many more visits

This is a quaint restaurant with good food. The staff is kind and polite, offering local insight on things to see and do. The coffee and eggs are hot and even though many people are on beach time, they do well to get you in and out to continue with your day. The breakfast sandwiches are hearty and they do not skimp on the meats. It is a great way to start the day. The lunches are great too.
