I came in the morning and ordered steak tacos and they gave me chicken and ground beef. I clearly said Steak,(Bistec) but they gave me whatever they wanted to give me. Huge language barrier so if you don’t speak Spanish save your time and money.
I wanted some Dominican breakfast in Harlem so I stopped by here. Off first glance I like the aesthetics of the storefront. Repping Dominican Republic. Inside they have seating all through out. Staff were helpful and made the check out process smooth. They also have an upstairs section I didn’t get to check out. I ordered the tres golpe. The mangu was good. That queso Frito had that nice salty cheesy taste. The salami was savory. The egg was cooked just right. Then I got the tamarind juice it was sweet and refreshing. Overall, I love the Dominican sports bar and would come back to try more.
Wow!!!!! Just had the oxtails, rice & sweet plantains and man I'm not disappointed!!! Emily E was friendly and welcoming such a sweetheart; i was originally going to take out but she made me feel so welcomed i ended up staying and grabbing a beer while dining in. The food was excellent; wow!!! The best oxtails I had so far from a Dominican spot. The plantains was gd and sweet and the oxtails and rice was definitely on point. Thank you again Emily; the next time I'm around 135th street I'll stop thru for another banging meal. The presentation of the food was a pleasant surprise. Pyramid of rice surrounded by oxtails and plantains!!! I ended up getting another order to go as well.
Went in and ordered oxtails. When I got home and opened my order, there were 3 pieces in there on a mountain of rice, which is insane given the price. The food was good, but the service leaves a lot to be desired.
The best Dominican food around, the Yaroa here is the best ive had in NY and their lunch platters are amazing 10/10
