Gurumé is such a fun Korean tapas spot near Rockafeller Center 🤍 I came here with three of my girlfriends on a Saturday night and we made a reservation which I’d definitely recommend. The vibes were lively but still perfect for a girls night out ✨ We started with their festive espresso martini called the Rudolph 🍸🎄 It had a hint of caramel and came with a little marshmallow on the side which was such a cute touch. Sweet smooth and the perfect way to kick off the night. For food we ordered a bunch to share which is 100% the move here. The crispy corn and cheese was one of my favorites and such a great starter 🌽🧀 Then we tried the birria mandu and wow!! This is a must order. It was so good that we got it again. Super savory packed with flavor and the meat was unreal 🥟 We also got the ever
Steak & potatoes, corn cheese, and the black sesame bread pudding stood out. The dumplings had good skin but I personally didn’t vibe with the fusion. The chicken wings had crunchy skin but the wings themselves were not super flavorful. Beet salad was ok, good as a palette cleanser but can probably be skipped
Josephine was incredible! We arrived around 6:10 with tickets to the Stranger Things play at 7pm, and she wasted no time walking us through the menu and helping us choose the perfect dishes. Dinner was absolutely delicious, and thanks to her efficiency and attention, we made it to our show right on time. Amazing staff, amazing food , we can’t wait to come back!
This was a good place but compared to other more authentic Korean food places this place was meh. Food: the wings were amazing, great balance of sweet an and savory with extreme crunch. The ramen was a bit over the top with the spiciness and muted the actual flavors that would’ve stood out kid better had they not been drowned in the spicy sauce. The soft boiled onsen egg was impressive but it would’ve been better if it wasn’t ice cold. The chip bits at the beginning were super oily and were a bit like the dregs at th bottom of a deep fryer or what’s leftover at the end of a bag of potato chips. Price: way over priced for the portion sizes even for NYC. If you’re going to be a tapas place then make the living and portions match Service: very kind servers and attentive, they took the time to
We were staying next door and went for dinner pre broadway show. What a great concept, a tapa style service with Korean food, like Spanish food meant to share and to marinate with a drink. Service was very good and fast. We had korean chicken wings, steak and potatos, pork belly and Korean radish, tuna tartar. Everything was delicious, drinks were very good too. Highly recommended.
