C’mon now, $15 and 3 out of my 5 tenders not even the size of a packet of soy sauce and the other two ….. and my order took 20 mins and I was the only car in line at first. Now that I think about it, they were probably running low on tenders and started cutting them in half. Now I feel robbed!!!
Five stars for the service alone! Danielle at this Guthrie’s was incredibly fast, friendly, and made sure my order was piping hot even when they were having system issues. It’s rare to get this kind of genuine hospitality at a fast-food spot. I’ll definitely be back!
Guthrie's has made some questionable moves lately. Prices have soared the last several years while the food quality has declined. A box and drink is now over $15. They have changed the "toast" to "BBQ bread" thats over 1½ thick and barely warm3d through. Its no longer crunchy buttery toast, it's chewy thick cool bread you have to chew for 3 minutes before swallowing. The fries have stayed the most basic they can be for over 20 years. Worst in fast food since the beginning. At this point it's off the table for us. We aren't interested in paying 15$ for 4 chicken fingers, fries that suck, and bread thst is a chore to consume.
It has been forever since I’ve been to Guthrie, I remember them having the best chicken fingers. So, I went today and not only were they not done. They were the size of my hand. I had to go back out and get food again foosackly’s and/or cookout is blowing them out of the water. Don’t go If you don’t plan on eating a second meal!
The spot for chicken fingers that just can’t be beat—seriously, it’s better than Cane’s. The chicken is always crispy and cooked just right, with that signature Guthrie’s sauce that takes it to the next level. The menu is simple, but that’s what makes it so good. You get what you want without any fuss: perfectly fried chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, and maybe some Texas toast if you’re feeling it. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite after class or just craving some comfort food, Guthrie’s is the go-to in T-Town.
