Such great food ! Full bar, huge variety, and special diets too. Their guacamole and cheese dip and chips are spot on. Some of the best KC has. I had enchiladas. Tons of food and left overs. Pricing is reasonable. Had lunch special of two enchiladas with 2 sides and split cost of guacamole dip and with drink and 20% tip I spent $27.00. worth the 30 minute drive we made. Outstanding!

Yesterday, (2/8/26) around 11:30 am I had the #23, the creamy chicken verde, and I suffered food poisoning from the dish. Extremely awful as I almost ended up in the hospital. I understand that foodborne illness is a risk associated with running a restaurant, and I had been there dozens of times before yesterday and never had a problem, but I will not be eating there ever again. I hope this review reaches a manager or even the owner so the state of the fridge, freezer, and food prep areas can be checked and are up to spec. This is unacceptable and should not be something that I or anyone else would need to experience. The waitress did her job well, and the atmosphere was clean, but I will not risk eating there again.

Went on a friday at 6pm. I wouldn't say it was authentic Mexican food at all. It was very cringo, tex Mex. The atmosphere was from the 90s. Like a place I would see on that Gordon Ramsey show, kitchen nightmares, that needs a face lift. Chips weren't made fresh, they were thin and broke easily when we tried to dip them in the salsa. Salsa was okay, but didn't taste fresh, like it came out if a jar. Food was mediocre at best. I asked for roasted corn but only three kernels had char on them. The corn tasted frozen. I also got the southwest wrappers. They were okay but they gave me a weird sauce even though the menu says ranch. When the waiter remembered to bring it after i asked him for it, it came in a ranch packet. Hard to dip the wrappers in so I had to drizzle it on. By then, the crunch

The white queso cheese and chips were really good good sauce ,Food was really good, cold have been a little more flavorful but still very good, came out fresh and hot, I got the habanero platter which came with an enchilada, a tamale, a taco and a bean Tostado for sides. I’ve got Spanish rice and whole beans. Tamale was good. Enchilada was good. Taco was very good to start. Was good. Rice was really fluffy and seasoned well and the whole beans were kind of like a soupy bean. They were really good for dessert. Had the Reeses wrapped in a chimichanga with fried ice cream on top very rich but very tasty. Service was great. Walked right in there were no wait for tables.

This was my first visit to Habanero’s. I have my favorite Mexican spot in Grandview so I was a little nervous about trying a new place. I found myself in good hands with Christopher as a fantastic server. He guided me to order the Habey cheese dip. It was wonderful! Their chips are very thin and crispy how I like. The salsa served was very fresh and a tiny bit spicy, but not too much for the general public. Very fresh and tasty!! I decided to order a few things all the cart so I could try the menu items I generally like. Their refried beans were outstanding! I also ordered a fried ground beef taco with a flour shell and a cheese enchilada. Both were excellent! They were a little on the small side, which I didn’t mind. There was a large party here celebrating a special event and they
