Customer Reviews
Friendly staff. Nice library. Cash only. Also can't use a flash drive/thumb drive per Haines City rule. Good luck backing up any unsaved computer work. Otherwise great place
I used the Haines City Library for Notary Services in July 2025 and they were exceedingly helpful. They told me 3 of their librarians were Public Notaries, so one of them will be available when you need their services, during library business hours. Other staff were witnesses to my signing of documents, so I didn't need to bring my own witnesses. Very nice library staff and the convenience of the Notary Services in our public library was appreciated.
Today I had a very bad experience with an employee named John. This is not the first time it has happened, but this time was especially unpleasant. I came looking for some information, and he responded in a disrespectful way and with no desire to help. As I was leaving, he rolled his eyes and made rude gestures, which I found very unprofessional. I even asked him if he actually likes his job, because honestly, if he’s not in the mood to help people, he should consider another position, instead of making customers feel uncomfortable or leaving them without answers. To be clear, my comment is only about him, since the rest of the staff has always been kind and professional.
I had a very disappointing experience at the Haines City Library. When I went to the front desk to ask for information about some courses, one of the workers treated me with disrespect. He was talking with his coworkers, and when I approached him, he made a rude face and gestures. Then he handed me a paper for an English class, as if telling me that I needed to learn English first before asking questions. I felt discriminated against and very uncomfortable. Public library staff should treat everyone with respect, no matter what language they speak. I hope the library administration takes this seriously and provides better training for their employees on how to treat visitors equally.
This is a very nice, clean library. It has lots of computers for public use. Nice selection of books although I can only speak to the fiction books as that is all I browse. Clean restrooms. Lots of places to sit to read or work at.
