Food was good overall the Mongolian beef was tender and delicious, and the beef fried rice was also tasty. Dumplings were disappointing because the wrapper was too thick. Service needs improvement due to some order confusion and communication issues. Prices are moderate (around $20 per entree). Overall recommended for the food, but service could be better.

Today, on my first day working at Tyson's, I unexpectedly discovered a family-run Chinese restaurant right downstairs from my office. It was very clean, and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. I ordered Mongolian beef and shrimp fried rice for takeout, and both dishes were delicious. Hunan Village, you guys are awesome! I'll definitely come again

Absolutely one of the most authentic Chinese dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The flavors are spot-on — rich, balanced, and clearly made with traditional techniques. Every dish tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Orange chicken is a must. The dining experience was just as impressive as the food. The service was attentive and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. You can tell they really care about both quality and hospitality. If you’re looking for genuine Chinese cuisine and an overall excellent dining experience, this place definitely delivers.

I had lunch at Hunan Village today and ordered the Kung Pao Chicken lunch special, which came with a spring roll. Unfortunately, when I bit into the spring roll, I found a long hair inside. It completely ruined my meal and honestly made me feel sick to my stomach. After that, I couldn’t continue eating because I kept imagining the cleanliness of the kitchen and food preparation. This is a basic hygiene issue that should never happen, and it made me lose trust in the restaurant. The Kung Pao chicken itself might have been fine, but the experience with the spring roll overshadowed everything. I hope the management takes food safety and cleanliness more seriously, because no customer should go through this.

I was extremely disappointed with my recent takeout order from the Tysons location of Halal Hunan Village. While I frequently enjoy the buffet at their Falls Church location, this experience was notably different and below expectations. I have been to the Tyson's location since it opened during the pandemic. The food quality on this order was unacceptable. The soup had an off-putting bitter taste and looked like Jell-O, the Hunan beef seemed old and lacked freshness (like wholesale discount meat), and the fried rice was very dry. The wings were bland and appeared to have been held under a heat lamp for an extended period, resulting in a tough texture.
