Halal Munchies

Good food and great service. Did a pick up order and had to wait and watch them put box and utensils and sauces in the bag which was kinda excruciating bcz I wanted to go in and out fast and then later to find out that there was only rice in the box which was frustrating but they were quick about dropping the food at my place and gave a piece of cake for free.

Halal Munchies is the closest experience to NYC chicken and rice here in DFW. The food is incredible, and I loved their white sauce. The hot sauce is so good, and it actually has a kick. We've been there twice now, and both times it's been delicious. The staff there are so nice, and the owner was a real chill dude. Seating is limited to about 20 seats. Definitely recommend this place.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5) I came in with decent expectations because the reviews are very positive, but overall this place ended up being pretty average. Starting with the positives: the restaurant looks great. Very clean, modern decor, nice aesthetics, and plenty of parking in the area. Staff was fine, no complaints there. It’s also open late, which is probably its biggest advantage if you’re looking for halal food late at night. Now the food, which is where it really falls short. The mozzarella sticks were honestly bad. Someone highly recommended them in the reviews, but they were some of the worst I’ve had. I ended up throwing them away. One of the best chicken over rice I've had in DFW. Not imitators, they're straight from New York. The quantity is massive. I can make this into 2 meals. Coming back to try their burgers and wings next!
