We had a wonderful first experience at Halal Rooster. From the start, the owner made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to answer all our questions since it was our first time ordering. His friendliness and attentiveness really stood out. Absolutely delicious food! The chicken over rice was perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. My wife ordered the grilled chicken burger and she loved it. We also tried the seasoned fries, which were crispy and flavorful - the perfect side. Overall, both the service and the food exceeded our expectations. We’ll definitely be coming back!

I absolutely love this place! My go-to is the chicken and lamb over rice platter with extra white and hot sauce. The food is amazing every single time, it’s ready quickly, and the service is wonderful.

The food here is amazing. It's the best chicken over rice you can get, and it's even better than what you'd get at a food cart in New York City. The chicken has a great marinade on it that makes it come alive. I could eat here every day if I wanted to.

Best food I've eaten in a long time! I was visiting from Houston and decided to check this place out because I missed my favorite South Asian and Middle Eastern items. The food here is really on par with anything you'd find in Texas!

This was our second time here but it won't be our last. The (presumably) owner was also the cook and he knows what he's doing. His manner is friendly, patient and down-to-earth as he explains the ingredients, preparation methods and how long it will take. I had the chicken and lamb combo plate and loved every delicious bite. The tender meats were served over bright yellow saffron rice with a small salad to the side, drizzled with a slightly spicy white sauce. For a beverage we had a freshly made mango smoothie, which added to the smooth digestion of the food as well as palate cleansing between bites. Obviously a beloved neighborhood spotv as we noticed several customers stopping by ro pick up their takeout orders. One of the best halal places in Rochester. Dine here, you won't regret it.
