Amazing dining experience! I arrived 10 minutes before they opened and was lucky enough to get a seat in the first seating. The setup is intimate, centered around two chefs who prepare each piece of sushi right in front of you. It’s served directly onto your plate, which ensures maximum freshness. I was able to try so many different kinds of fish, and every single bite was incredible. Definitely a must-visit, and I’ll be back for sure!
Haven't been here in years. This was my go to for sushi when I used to live in Little Tokyo. Quality is slightly worst now than before but still decent. I went 2 times this week and the quality of the tuna is different both times. Please refer to my photo to see the difference. Sushi gen might be the better sushi spot now.
Went for a Saturday lunch on Valentine's Day and we loved it here! There was a line about 15 minutes before opening. They sat about 3/4 of the line once they opened the doors. We out our name down and came back in half an hour. Wait time for us to be seated was 45 minutes including the 30 minute wait which felt like nothing with so much around to do and even snack on in Little Tokyo. Once inside food was delicious and fast. They served everything thoughtfully. My favorite spot for Sushi in LA
I have been here many times. Love their food. One of the best sashimi and sushi I have ever had. I preferred the old waitresses they use to have. The newer younger ones are okay but could be better. I would definitely go back because I like the quality of the sashimi and sushi.
Honest comments from a frequent traveller to Japan, the food quality is average. Understanding the sushi should have been adjusted to local flavour, honestly I don’t need to taste any green/red toppings or excessive soy sauce if I am ordering sashimi. I am ordering sashimi as I would like to taste how the raw fish to be. The rice base making the sushi was tasteless and not firmly sticking with each other. Food does not seem quite fresh either. I was suffering from diarrhoea at night. In terms of atmosphere, the seats are so packed and my elbow kept hitting the people next to me. Another side story, there was a Korean young couple questioning the prices at the night I visited. There was a server talking in Japanese to the chef that “if they cannot afford, why did they order so many foo
