Handel's Homemade Ice Cream

This local ice-cream shop has been a staple for my husband and I since we've moved to this side of town. It’s usually busy when we come here, but we were able to order directly at their walk-up window with no wait. I was so excited to try out the Frosted Animal Cookie ice-cream from what I seen on their website, but it didn't look anything like what they had posted online. Usually when we come here, they always present the ice-cream with perfect scoops, but it was definitely lacking. It tasted good, but it had somewhat of an artificial strawberry flavor. My husband got a pint of the Cheesecake made with OREO and it was delicious as always. Moving forward I'll definitely stick with their pints, because it's always consistent and worth the trip.

Came to Handel’s Ice Cream on Friday, January 16 and even though the line was long, they moved it super fast and stayed positive and friendly the whole time. The service was great and the portions were big, which I loved. I tried the banana cream pie flavor and it was so good. Even with how busy it was, everything was handled really well. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Definitely a new favorite for cool treats. I've been here a few times now. Trying different flavors and combos. This visit we tried not to overindulge, a problem i created last visit. Its not the shop's fault, but my own gluttony. The shop offers a sampler that can have upto 4 different flavors. On the windows, they have a banner that reads: We don't skimp This is absolutely true. The scoops are in no way small but just the right size. So I got the banana creme pie and coconut creme pie flavor ice-cream. My wife got the banana creme pie. We both opted for the homemade waffle bowl, another treat in itself. The advantage of the waffle bowl, is breaking off small pieces of the waffle bowl, with each spoonful of ice-cream, creating a crunchy sensation with each bite. The flavors all taste h

One of the best ice cream shop near by our place. I have been here before but never did a review. This place needs to be recognized for their friendly and efficient staff. The line can get a little long sometimes but the staff are good taking care of their customers. I ordered an extra think vanilla milk shake this time instead of my normal scoop order. I saw how much vanilla ice creams and vanilla extract they put to make my milk shake the thickest I’ve ever had. It was yummy, my husband had a vanilla ice cream sandwich. That is also a very good tasting ice cream sandwich.

Handel's is our locals favorite! There are multiple locations and their ice creams taste the best! Big hits at our home is the ice cream sundae and pistachio ice cream. The small scope is HUGE so plenty! I highly recommend it!
