Handel's Homemade Ice Cream

Handel’s has delicious ice cream! We love the Graham Central Station! Tonight, Jacqueline went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. My little boy was struggling to find what he wanted because he couldn’t see the flavors. He described what he wanted and she made it perfectly. She was so kind and patient! I am so thankful for this wonderful experience!

Wow. Now THIS is an ice cream shop. It's huge, staffed with almost a dozen workers, and filled with endless lines of customer despite the extremely fast service and turnaround time. And because it's got it all, it can be hard to decide what to get, but my friend already had the Monkey Business in mind (banana ice cream with brownies, chocolate sauce and nuts mixed in). The sound of "banana ice cream" did not seem at all appealing to me, but she was undeterred and continued to sing high praises. We got it pretty quick, asked for extra spoons, and within a few minutes, it was almost devoured (see photo evidence attached). It's not at all banana-y in the bad sense, and the chewiness of the cake, the crunchiness of the nuts, and the gooeyness of the syrup paired very well together in a delic

Generous servings of delicious ice cream for a reasonable price. A small cone got three scoops, and the Four Scoop Sampler actually had two scoops of each of the four flavors.

Out of the icecream i wanted. The hurricane icecream shake didn't have large pieces of candy and it was too blended. I could see them scraping the bottom of the tub and using less. Too much marshmellow cream in it.

I am consistently disappointed in this handel’s location. The quality of the ice cream is lower than others. The strawberry ice cream scoop i got tasted like mint. In my first bite i was caught off guard and thought it was maybe the ice cream scoop that as used, but I dropped that thought once I continued to taste it throughout the entire cup. It is concerning to me since I have celiac that the cross contamination is strong. And i have a very large distaste for anything mint flavored. I was extremely disappointed. Maybe the entire tub the strawberry ice cream was in previously had some kind of mint ice cream. Perhaps use the same tubs or clean them out better. Not sure what this issue is, but I will always think twice before going to this location in the future now.
