I don't normally give 5 stars off the bat but .... Just left this ice cream shop. I've passed it a million times and always wondered what it tasted like. The young blonde girl behind the counter was really sweet and inviting. As well as thorough with all the flavors and gave information on the top three flavors that are sold here. You can get two and a half Giant heaping globs of this deliciousness for only a little over $5. I got the dark chocolate overload with giant chunks of chocolate inside. They have so many flavors that I forgot how many she said. 😃 The ice cream is made in store, which is crazy considering all the flavor options. Heck, they even have ice cream for dogs. I’ve tried this ice cream at both the Newport Beach, California location and the McKinney, Texas location, and I can honestly say it’s the best ice cream I’ve ever had. The ice cream is incredibly soft, smooth, and absolutely delicious. Even more impressive was the customer service at both locations truly fantastic. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and created such a great environment. It’s definitely worth every penny. Huge thank you to the employees at both locations for such an amazing experience!

These girls that work here are great, so friendly, happy, helpful. The ice-cream was good and the prices not bad. They also do military discounts. I would definitely go back when in Texas again.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience today at Handles Ice Cream. I bring my family here almost every week, but this will be the last time. We found a hair inside the ice cream, which is completely unacceptable. It’s shocking to see such a lack of hygiene and quality control from a place we’ve trusted for so long. This ruined what used to be one of our family’s favorite weekend spots. I truly hope management takes this seriously and improves their cleanliness standards.
