Happy Family Restaurant

I’ve gone here with my family since a kid. I got a General Tsos chicken meal last minute today. It’s pretty amazing good food. Sincerely happy.

Quite the little surprise in old Town Battle Ground. Went in for the first time and was initially worried about the clutter around the restaurant. We sat at a comfortable booth and were immediately served hot tea and waters. We ordered from the lunch menu, which seemed very reasonable. For $9.50 you ordered an appetizer, side and main meal. We recieved huge portions of food that tasted freshly prepared and was delicious. I took off one star due to cleanliness.

online menu is outdated, i paid double what the prices listed were. the cashier couldn’t give me my change and there were old men making domestic violence jokes in the restaurant. overall a very unpleasant experience. portions were decent sized but i cant get past their prices being outdated and paying double. the website is also barely functional.

This place has clearly been impacted by covid. It's sad, but still no excuse not to be clean and bug free. While we were there eating, we, and other guests, kept being assaulted by multiple flies. I don't know how other restaurants get rid of them, but it didn't work here. The food was actually good, and you get a lot of it when you order the dinner specials. Be ready to eat though. It's a lot of food. Service was mediocre, the server was very nice, just not present very frequently. Overall it's worth going to, but if they can figure out how to rid the place of flies it would be much better.

Wish it was a better first time experience because I love to support local Chinese Restaurants. Went in and paid for vegetable lo mein in advance with an agreed pick up time of 4:30 pm. Arrived at pick up time and unfortunately they forgot about my order. Got the food at 4:50 pm. They tried to be nice by adding some pork fried rice - our order was vegetarian only. Hey, it wasn’t their best moment and I’m willing to give it another try, will do dine in though, and will be happy to update my review if warranted.
