Happy Wok

Food: 1 star. Portion sizing: laughable for a Chinese restaurant. Indian owned. Loads of rice and noodle and barely any protein. Portions aside — food was lukewarm AT BEST, actually made me nauseous after eating. Service: 1 star. No free water station. Tiny fork. Most importantly, the server had the audacity to give a grown adult the portion size of a grade school girl. Atmosphere: AC unit sounds, no music, nothing to soften the blow of regret for spending money here. Food is >$14 for a 2 item combo and over $17 for 3, but the portion size is worse than any other Chinese food restaurant. If the food tasted good it would be a 2-3 star, but they even failed here. Pick a struggle.

Meat is very rubbery and questionable. Pool of oil after the actual food was eaten. Sampled two of their items and I literally had to spit it out it was so bad flavor-wise. The second sample tasted like old oil in the worst way, barely scarfed it down. Do not recommend!!! The customer service wasn’t the best either. Overall it was very mid, the food looks appetizing but it’s disappointing. The two items I did choose had good flavor but I couldn’t physically swallow it due to the texture.

They offer different items & combos and man .. they sure pack up the food!! 🤩🤩 chow mein was one of the best I’ve had, lots of flavor ! They do not have orange chicken.. but they have tangerine chicken! 😋Comes in both regular and spicy! 🔥 so good & flavorful! The crab & cheese rangoon was very crispy and good! And PLEASE get the beef & cream cheese egg rolls!! It was so good, I bought more to take home to share with my family😄 they loved it! They also offer catering & party trays for your events🎉

The beef cheese cream egg rolls are slamming. Never had that crazy combination on a egg roll but it mesh so well together. I couldn't stop biting into them until I finished them all. Come try Happy Wok if you are super hungry. They load up the tray and make sure you leave there fully satisfied. The spicy orange chicken is also tasty. Come check it out for yourself.

Don’t believe the hype! The food was very oily. It tasted like their oil wasn’t changed in awhile! The service was bad with the worker just in their phone . There portions were ridiculously small for the price compared to other Chinese fast food restaurants. Would not recommend! Go to Mr. You’s in Montclair instead
