My kids and I love coming to Hardesty library. A couple weeks ago, I was at the library and I forgot to bring a diaper from home. While I was doing my 3rd check of my diaper bag, I looked up and saw this basket. It was filled with diapers from Newborn to 5T🙌🏾. As a momma who like many are trying their best, this meant a lot. Thank you Hardesty kids department for helping the parents out. This small thoughtful act is why I love this library and keep coming back.
This library is fantastic. We were able to get cards for the whole family in less than 20 minutes and check out books immediately. There is an amazing kid section that has a great selection of board books. The staff are super friendly, and try to come up with engaging programs for all ages. One of the highlights of story time for infants and toddlers on Mondays and Tuesdays, which is always very engaging.
Very Giant, Expansive, Beautiful Library building. 🏢 Service overall and in the children’s section was very pleasant, very nice, and helpful. Although, currently as I’m visiting- there are newly employed’s, so they may have errors here and there. The tools and services this place includes of is very expansive. This place is more of a “Media Center” then a library. From printing, to 3D Printing, to even a Seed Storage where you can borrow seeds to use for your garden. 🖨🎞🌱 Now, the book variety are MANYY. There are many many choices and diversities of books. There are a good amount of DVD’s too. A lot of knowledge Can be learned here. 📚📀 And now, the children’s section was FANTASTIC. The staffing and service there were SUPER NICE and helpful. There are many toys and large area for your k
I want to acknowledge that the library itself is beautiful, and I appreciate the availability of reservable meeting rooms for academic use. I had reserved a meeting room and, prior to beginning, specifically asked for permission to record a school assignment until 4:50 p.m., knowing the library closes at 5:00 p.m. I wanted to ensure I was compliant with library policies before starting. Permission was granted, so I proceeded with the assignment. At approximately 4:40 p.m., three employees entered the meeting room and demanded that I leave immediately. This occurred while I was in the middle of a live, single-take recorded assignment. The assignment could not be paused or restarted due to academic integrity rules regarding cheating or misconduct. The interruption significantly affected m
A really nice facility, plenty of parking, well-designed and divided sections. There's a genealogy research section here with lots of book resources, county records and reserved computers upstairs. Kids section is great and there's also Connor's Cove for shows. Upstairs away from the kids section is quiet.
