The staff at the Carmel Library are all the kindness and most caring people. They host some fabulous events, and every person that works there is kind, considerate and always makes me feel welcome and valued. Very grateful for this gem in Carmel and all the wonderful individuals that work there and take great care of the visitors and the beautiful library. It's truly a unique experience and I always feel uplifted after being there. Thank you so very much.
Excellent public library by the renowned Architect Bernard Maybeck with comfortable nooks and seating. There is also a nice fireplace for the cooler days.
I give it 5 stars just because one of the best humans in history visited this library JIM ROHN
Legendary Berkeley architect Bernard Maybeck designed this 1928 structure, named for California Supreme Court Justice Ralph Harrison, whose wife Ella Harrison financed it.
