Had a great afternoon meal here! Everything was delicious. Was celebrating a birthday here and the staff were very accommodating and patient with us as we decided what to order. All the food we got was excellent - we ordered the onion dip and duck croquettes to start, my partner had the new duck item on the menu and she loved it. I had a custom smash burger and it was phenomenal! Definitely will be back!
This place was okay. The wine and beer were good. The mushroom scallops tasted rubbery and had a weird taste. We only ate one between us. Fried chicken sandwich was okay. It was kind of thin. Fries were good. Service was okay.
We visited Harvey’s on a busy evening, but despite the crowd, it never felt overcrowded or chaotic. The drink menu had a solid variety, and while many of the food options leaned toward the heavier side, the overall selection was diverse and appealing. We started with the cornbread and deviled eggs, both were excellent appetizers that hit the spot. For the main course, I ordered the beer steak sandwich. The flavor was rich and satisfying, though a bit on the greasy side, which left the bottom bun soggy by the time I got halfway through. Others at the table ordered the salmon and the fish and chips, both were well-prepared and flavorful. I wrapped up the meal with a cold draft PBR, which was a simple, classic finish to a solid dining experience. All in all, Harvey’s delivers a hearty, comf
I travel for work and sometimes I get to try some great food joints. I love the neighborhood vibe (see sign as you first walk in) along with the genuinely interested staff. The Duck was great. Just my third time for duck and it was the best. If you have not had duck, I’d describe it as beef crossed with bacon. Doesn’t that sound great. It is. The salad dressing, honey mustard vinaigrette was light and flavorful. I busted my calories for the day it I would have been tempted to try the Honey Cake (while it lasts). That’s always a great sign. I definitely want to come back and support this wonderful little restaurant. Thank you staff and Chef Emily Watt.
Harvey’s really wowed us all around! The food was all incredible and they have a clearly marked allergen menu online. We got the roasted artichoke appetizer which was SO flavorful I will happily return just for that! For dinner, the salmon entree, fusilli bolognese (made vegetarian with beyond, and can be made vegan!), mushroom “scallops” (fully vegan), kids hot dog and grilled cheese with fries. Everything was delicious. The service was fast and friendly, the drinks very well balanced. We are excited to return to this Falls Church gem!
