HASHTAG INDIA - CYPRESS

We recently went to Hashtag India and tried their Bahubali Mandi with chicken, goat, shrimp and fish. Honestly, we really enjoyed it. The rice was flavorful, the meat was cooked well and every flavor tasted good. It did not feel too heavy and the quality felt consistent. What we liked the most was the seating. They have separate booths where you can sit down and eat in the Arabic style, which makes the whole experience more fun and comfortable, especially with family. The menu is huge. It is not just mandi. They have South Indian, North Indian, snacks, chai items like punugulu, baji, bonda, plus burgers, momos, sandwiches , tiffens, Kati rolls, pulavs, chaats and desserts. Update: visited a second time to try their chaat. This time we ordered dahi puri and bhel puri. Dahi puri was mediocre and lacking the full flavor. Iv def had better. Bhel puri was definitely good and generous portion. Also got the cheese dosa and mysore masala dosa. Both were delicious! Their chutneys are so good. We also got pao bhaji which I did not really like so definitely something that we will not order for next time. Also got Irani chai which was really good. Happy to see this place open up in Cypress. We were amazed to see upon entrance that the place was huge, with lots of seating options (both tables and booths). Decor and lighting is warm and inviting. Very happy to see Hashtag India in the Cypress area. The food didn’t disappoint us so far. Good ambiance is a plus. Hope they continue the quality, taste and customer service, unlike many Indian restaurant franchises in Houston area who dilute their quality and taste after just about two months of their launch. I liked the way they have a dedicated person named Vinod to look after the quality and gather customer feedback on the restaurant floor. We tried their breakfast buffet and many items on their menu on different occasions during past few days. Check it out!!

One of the best Indian food spots around! At Hashtag India, the butter chicken was rich and perfectly balanced, the chicken biryani was aromatic and flavourful, and the paneer dishes were fresh and well cooked. Loved the chaat for its authentic street-style taste, and the desserts were fresh and delicious. Great ambiance, clean place, and quick, friendly service. Definitely worth visiting again!
