Haslett House

We recently spent a night at the Haslett house and I cannot recommend it highly enough. This is a beautifully restored gilded era mansion with period decor. The beds are very extremely comfortable and the rooms have high quality modern TVs and plenty of outlets, yet the original furniture and finishes preserve the historic feel. The host was very accommodating and happy to give us a detailed account of the history of the house and the local area. The included breakfast he made us was fantastic. This was the most interesting and beautiful house I've stayed in and the price is a bargain for the experience.

The Haslett House is a beautiful historical property! We very much enjoyed our stay here. The corner bedroom was quite spacious and the bed very comfortable. The owner is a super nice guy and his breakfast is second to none. Overall this is the best B & B that we have ever stayed in.

We were delighted with our week stay at Haslett House. It was such fun to meet Paul and he treated us like royalty! Breakfast was most enjoyable and delicious. We look forward to our next visit.

This is a beautiful home with amazing interior woodwork, nicely decorated. It's still a bit of a work-in-progress in areas beyond the guest suites, but we look forward to going back to see Paul's progress. He a great host.

I had an absolutely wonderful time staying at Haslett House after bicycling 75 miles from Oneida. Paul is a wonderful, charming, and welcoming host. The house is one of the most beautiful Victorian era homes I have ever seen, and Paul has furnished it with period appropriate furniture and decorations. He clearly has an eye for decorating, historic detail, and beautiful things. Breakfast was outstanding, and it was very nice of Paul to make it earlier than the normal time so my friends and I could head out early for our next 75 mile bike ride. Fort Plain has many beautiful, historic buildings--it was fun taking a walk around town after getting pizza at the New York Pizza restaurant across the street from the hotel.
