Healthy Deluxe Deli & GRILL

We found this after walking to several restaurants that had said they’d be open on their websites and Google listings but had closed early on a Tuesday night. We were about to give up and Door Dash to our hotel, but decided to check it out. So glad we did. The price is reasonable, food was made fresh, and staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a cheese quesadilla and a slice of brownie cheesecake. They have a wide selection of beverages to choose from, too.

Friendly staff, helpful when we didn’t know what to order! And an inviting atmosphere. There were lots of options for veggies, and the tofu sandwich was great. Lots of choices for snacks and drinks, as well as a huge menu of sandwiches, rolls, and wraps. My partner got the pastrami sandwich which was amazing and very tasty.

I went at 10pm on Friday and got a chicken quesadilla. Open late next to many nearby clubs. It’s very clean, and the grill was prompt and responsive. Good was decent, not fantastic. Not much flavor, and the salsa was mid, but overall it was chicken and cheese alright!

This deli is absolutely delicious and never disappoints. The food is fresh, flavorful, and made exactly right every time. On top of that, the service is great friendly, fast, and always welcoming. They also have an awesome variety of drinks, food, and snacks, so there’s something for everyone whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or a full meal. Definitely one of my go-to spots and highly recommended!

I typically don't leave reviews but we wanted to try the infamous NY Chopped Cheese during our 1st trip to New York for our anniversary. The staff at the Moxy Hotel recommended this particular deli. The staff at the Healthy Deluxe Deli were extremely nice and hospitable (which is the opposite from what most people believe about New Yorkers). The deli was clean and had 2 chairs for us to sit at the window and they were open 24 hours. The chopped cheese was soooo good. We ended up getting them each day we were there knowing we would not get this same meal back in Virginia. Thank you to the staff at the Deli who contributed to a wonderful trip in NYC.
